Live For Speed Live for speed, shortly LFS, is among the very succesfull racing simulators. Unfortunately, Skoda brand is missing again in the available cars. I was looking for an editor at forums, but I never found it. I found even rumors that the cars are hardcoded in the game and there will be never any car editor for live for speed...
...let me see...
Thanks to a couple of attempts I identified data files, where cars are stored. During the next two days I discovered most meaning of the contents. I have successfully exported models from game. I am definitely on the right way, now it is time to start working on the editor.
I have prepared 130RS in 3D Studion for the first tests
I made 3D view to the editor and changed couple of key things.
First test import to the LFS
"I would like" does not mean anything... "I want" can do even impossible ! Again, I spent a few hours on the creation of LFS CAR EDITOR
Close to midnight I made the first test car import
And jump into little race
It is just a test car, it is necessary to improve both the model and the skin. But definitely I am on the right way...

Still missing to complete the interior and a couple of small things, and our 130RS will be ready for race :)
Je skvele,že sú datove odbory, ktore demonštuju svoju silu takymto obdivuhodnym sposobom. Urcite to chce silnu kavu, mrte casu. Mam pocit,ze ludia co pisu podomnou vela chcu, ocakavaju okamzity verejny download a podobne. Keby som nieco take vedel realizovat, tak by som si to nechal pre seba a FUN : - ) . ahoj chci se jenom zeptat kde tu škodovku mám stáhnout páč oba ty odkazy ke stažení jsou jenom nejaká videa.. tak newim dáte pls nejakej přesnej odkaz na tu škodovku
So, to be honest, I did not touch it for almost a year. There is still missing texturing part, which would make work much easier. Moreover there is no manual nor tutorial and without it you will never get your model to work even in finished editor. It is very important to separate model into different parts and set correct flags to it. Otherwise your game will crash, or model will fall through road and so on.
Your interest is very appreciated, maybe it will push me to the end
I do not offer editor neither veh file for download yet. I did it for myself and for fun. I do not have enough time to finish it. Need to work around textures, indicators on dashboard and others. I do not want to spread unfinished models.
