If you ever try to strip down your doors, dismantle window or fix a fallen wire, read these few lines first...

Přední dveře - oprava stahování okna-stahovacka

1 - lifter´s supporting lever; 2 - lifter´s supporting pulley; 3 - tension pulley; 4 - window lifter; 5 - front conducting post; 6 - window holder; 7 - window backstop; 8 - rear conducting post; 9- door lock; 10 - crank lock transmitter; 11 - lifter´s supporting pulley; 12 lifter wire holder; 13 - supporting lever spring

Blue colour shows where is the wire - the wire is not in continuous loop, but is winded on the lifters drum (4).2350mm long steel wire is used with 2mm diameter. Active length should be 2260 mm, the rest is used to secure it in the lifter.

If you are trying to mount back the wire system, is seems the best to wind the whole or the bigger part of the wire on the drum first. Attach the lifter with the drum (4) with two screws to the door and start stretching the wire. Every time it will stop being long enough, carefully take another scroll of the drum, until you reach all the pulleys. I recommend starting with the upper pulley and move towards the bottom one, here it is going to be the hardest to stretch the wire. When you manage to get it there, tighten the lifter (4) and stretch the wire with it as much as you can. Only after this, attach the spring into the stretching pulley. Wind the wire inside the system few times from one backstop to the other, so that it can sit and wind on the way it should. Only after this, attach it properly to the window, so it won´t later skid.
